Acharya Ekkirala Bharadwaja Scholarship

Acharya Ekkirala Bharadwaja Scholarship has been instituted in the year 2021 and is open to all BTech students. The scholarship amount is Rs. 1 lakh per student per year and is awarded to one BTech student every year in order to support internships (international or domestic), special projects and opportunities, financial needs, etc. BTech students with a minimum CPI of 6.5 are eligible.

Prof. G V Rao has been associated with IIT Gandhinagar in the discipline of Civil Engineering as a Guest Professor and subsequently as Visiting Professor since Dec 2015. He has been contributing to IIT Gandhinagar by conducting numerous courses and lecture series. He has been particularly instrumental in progress and diversification of the consultancy and research projects at the Institute through active industry partnerships. Acharya Ekkirala Bharadwaja Scholarship is instituted by him in honor of his mentor, Sri Acharya Ekkirala Bharadwaja Swamy Varu who was a Dattatreya incarnation and who authored many Hindu spiritual books, primarily on the life and worship of Shirdi Sai Baba and Sri Dattatreya. This scholarship is primarily to support the undergraduate students for their financial needs, funding internships (international or domestic), or special projects and opportunities, etc.
