Prof. Paul C Jennings Former Vice President and Provost California Institute of Technology Pasadena, USA

Professor Jennings received his B. S. degree in Civil Engineering from Colorado State University and his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the California Institute of Technology. After serving in the United States Air Force as a member of the faculty of the Air Force Academy, he joined the faculty of Caltech in 1966. He served as Chairman of the Division of Engineering and Applied Science from 1985 to 1989 and was Caltech’s Vice President and Provost from 1989 to 1995. Following that he became Acting Vice President for Business and Finance until September of 1995; he held this post again in 1998-1999. From 2004 to 2007 he again became Caltech’s Provost. He is a member of the National Academy of Engineering, a past President of the Earthquake Engineering Research Institute, a past President of the Seismological Society of America, and a Fellow and past-chair of the California Council on Science and Technology.

Dr. Anil Kakodkar Chairman, Board of Governors IIT Bombay IIT Bombay

Dr Kakodkar is a renowned scientist of India. He was the Chairman of the Atomic Energy Commission of India (AECI) and also the Secretary to the Government of India, Department of Atomic Energy. Dr Kakodkar was awarded the Padma Vibhushan, India’s second highest civilian honour, on 26th January 2009. He was a part of the core team of architects of India's Nuclear Tests in 1974 and 1998 . Recently, he chaired the committee appointed by the Government of India to recommend autonomy measures to facilitate IITs scaling greater heights.

He is one of those renowned entrepreneurs who have managed to put Ahmedabad on the global map in the context of its successful textile industry. He also holds directorships in Arvind Spinning Ltd., Mauritius, Amol Dicalite Limited, Mahindra Gujarat Tractor Limited, Torrent Pharmaceuticals Limited, Arvind Worldwide Inc., USA, Arvind Worldwide (M) Inc. and Arvind Overseas (M) Ltd. Mr Lalbhai also heads Sharda Trust - Arvind's CSR vehicle, and recently has been elected to Steering Committee of Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI). Mr Lalbhai is the President of Ahmedabad Education Society, presiding over a number of well known educational institutions in Gujarat. He is President of the Ahmedabad University and on the Board of several academic institutions including Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad.

Shri Achal Mehra Editor Little India Group USA

Shri Achal Mehra is the editor of Little India, the largest overseas Indian magazine in the world, and BiggerIndia.com, a news aggregating site for overseas Indians. Under his stewardship, Little India has won 20 Ippie Awards from the Independent Press Association as well as six New America Media Awards. Earlier, he was Associate Professor and Director of the Communications Program at Albright College in Reading, Pennsylvania, and Assistant Professor and Coordinator of the news editorial sequence at the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, Colorado. He also served as Director of Training and Seminar & Conference programs at the Asian Mass Communication Research and Information Center in Singapore and copy editor at the Xinhua News Agency in Beijing, China. Shri Mehra holds a B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Kanpur and a Ph.D. in journalism from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, Illinois. He is author/editor of several books.

Prof. Richard K Miller President Franklin W. Olin College of Engineering Needham, MA, USA

Professor Richard K. Miller is the founding President and Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the Franklin W. Olin College of Engineering in 1999. Prior to that, he served as Dean of the College of Engineering and Professor at the University of Iowa from 1992-1999. He is the author or co-author of about 100 reviewed journal articles and other technical publications. He has been a consultant to many companies including the Aerospace Corporation, NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Hughes Aircraft Company, and Astro Aerospace Corporation, where he made significant contributions to the Heliogyro, Solares, Mast Flight Experiment, Milstar, Mobile Transporter, and many other projects. Prof. Miller obtained his B.S from University of California, Davis, M.S from MIT, and PhD from Caltech.

Shri. Kamal P Nanavaty is the President - Strategy Development of M/s. Reliance Industries Limited. Prior to assuming this responsibility, he was the Sector Head for Cracker, Polymer and Chemicals since the inception. He holds a Chemical Engineering Degree from University of Utah, USA and initially, he worked with USI Chemical Company. Upon returning to India Mr. Nanavaty joined Indian Petrochemicals Corporation Limited. In 1989 Mr. Nanavaty moved to Reliance Industries Limited to set up the Polymers and Chemicals business at Reliance. Mr. Nanavaty was a member on the Board of Indian Petrochemicals Corporation Limited from June 2002 and remained a director till its amalgamation with Reliance Industries Limited in September 2007. He is the President of the Chemical & Petrochemicals Manufacturers' Association (CPMA) and Chairman of the International Promotion Committee of Plastindia 2012. He is a member of ACC (American Chemistry Council), SPE (Indian Section), IPI (Indian Chapter) and The Founders Club of Petrochemical Industry, USA. He was elected honorary fellow of India Institute of Chemical Engineers in 2001. He was nominated as the Member of the 1st Gandhinagar (GN) Advisory Council.

Mr Kushal Sacheti, is the CEO of Galaxy, a diamond business company in New York. He is a philanthropist with a passion for education. He obtained his M. Tech. in Chemical Engineering from IIT Kanpur. He has set up a Centre for Desert Development Technologies at BITS Pilani, from where he obtained his B. Tech. in Chemical Engineering. He is a donor for many other educational and humanitarian causes.

Shri Maheswar Sahu Principal Secretary Industries & Mines, Government of Gujarat

Shri Sahu is currently working as Principal Secretary (Industries & Mines), Government of Gujarat. He has served in numerous important positions including as Vice Chairman & Managing Director of Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation, Gandhinagar. As additional Chief Executive Officer of Gujarat State Disaster Management Authority, Shri Sahu played a key role in highly acclaimed reconstruction and rehabilitation programme after the 2001 Bhuj earthquake in Gujarat. Mr Sahu worked for about 5 years in the Ministry of Industry of the Govt. of India dealing with various policy related issues. He worked as Joint Secretary in Department of Telecom, Government of India for about 4 years. After a brief stint in the Ministry of Environment & Forest as Joint Secretary, he took up a UN assignment as Director of an International Technology Centre.

Prof. Suhas P. Sukhatme Former Director IIT Bombay IIT Bombay

Professor Sukhatme has been a faculty member in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at IIT Bombay since 1965. He was the Director of IIT Bombay during 1995-2000, and Chairman of the Atomic Energy Regulatory Board, Govt. of India during 2000-2005. Currently, he is a member of Board of numerous academic and other organizations. He is the recipient of many honours and awards and was awarded the Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Prize for Science and Technology in 1983. He was elected as a Fellow of the Indian Academy of Sciences in 1986, a Fellow of the Indian National Academy of Engineering in 1987, a Fellow of the Indian National Science Academy in 1995, and a Fellow of National Academy of Sciences in 1999. He is the recipient of Padma Shri by the Government of India in 2001 and was the first recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award of the IIT Bombay. Prof. Sukhatme obtained B.Sc (Engg.) from BHU, S.M (Master of Science) and Sc.D. (Doctor of Science) from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

Prof. Dheeraj Sanghi is currently Professor of Computer Science and Engineering and Dean Academic Affairs at IIT Kanpur. From 2008 - 2010, he served as the Director, LNM Institute of Information Technology (LNMIIT), a public-private partnership University in Jaipur. His administrative experience includes running the Institute Computer Center, managing Graduate admissions, cultural advisor to students, Student Counselling, managing UG education at IIT Kanpur (as Chairman of Senate Under Graduate Committee), design of CS curriculum, and Chairman of Health Center Users Committee. He has visited about 70 colleges in India to discuss issues related to careerplanning, future of IT industry, curriculum and various technical/research talks. Professor Sanghi has a B. Prof. Satish K.Tripathi President State University of New York Buffalo, USA

Prof. Satish K. Tripathi is an internationally recognized accomplished researcher, transformative higher education leader, and the 15th President of the University at Buffalo (UB). He also served as UB's Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs from 2004-2011, and was one of the principal creators of the UB 2020 strategic plan to achieve academic research excellence, and has led the university to achieve significant growth in research and scholarly activity, enhanced student quality and diversity, and an expanded international presence. Dr Tripathi served as Dean of the Bourns College of Engineering at the University of California-Riverside from 1997-2004 and as Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Maryland, where his 19-year tenure on the faculty included serving as chair from 1988-95.
