Mathematics
The department of Mathematics at IITGN was started in 2012 with a Ph.D. program and was expanded to include a Master’s (M.Sc.) program in 2013. The department currently hosts research activities which can be broadly classified into:
- Analytic Number Theory
- Non-commutative Geometry
- Commutative Algebra
- Nonlinear Analysis
- Harmonic Analysis, Probability Theory and Stochastic Processes
- Differential Equations
- Tannakian group schemes, Moduli spaces, Vector bundles.
In order to meet current and future research and teaching requirements, the department of Mathematics at IIT Gandhinagar seeks outstanding applicants from all areas of Mathematics to fill multiple positions at all levels.
