Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) Chair

IIT Gandhinagar has setup a faculty chair through a donation by the Archaeological Survey of India

The Ministry of Culture, Government of India, and the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) have set up the "ASI Archaeology Chair" at the Archaeological Sciences Centre of IIT Gandhinagar to advance research in archaeological sciences using a scientific, multidisciplinary, fact-based approach. This chair will promote research in various aspects of archaeology through various collaborative and scholarly activities, and resources under this chair will also be used to deepen research in multiple facets of the ancient Harappan/Indus/Sindhu-Saraswati Civilisation.
