Library at IIT Gandhinagar is the window to the world of latest information in sciences, engineering, technology, humanities & social sciences. Being an integral part of academic and research work on the campus, Library provides information services to support the teaching, learning, research and outreach activities of the Institute by creating state-of-the-art facilities and offering innovative services. Keeping users at the center of its activities, Library has been actively engaged in designing and delivering need based information services.
The library has a fast growing collection of books, journals, magazines both in print and digital format covering most disciplines taught and researched at the Institute. Within a short span of its existence, library has developed collection in every possible area of interest to the campus community. To support the research activities, library subscribes core collection (over 70+) e-journals, e-databases, e-books and others. Library has created an excellent infrastructural facility with all required software tools and technologies. Library services have been fully automated and are accessible on and off campus. Currently, library operates from two locations i.e. Main Library in the academic area and Mini-Library in the student’s hall area and both are open for longer hours.

Monday to Sunday: 9:00 am to 9.00 pm
Saturday, Sunday and Institute Holiday: 9:00 am to 9.00 pm
Issue and Return Timing: 9.00 am to 8.00 pm (No issue/returns transactions on Sundays and other holidays)

The Institute boasts of an impressive collection of books, journals and digital resources in its central Library. The Institute’s library has access to a substantial and growing number of journal subscriptions in print and digital format.
The library has also emerged as a major resource in the region and has attracted prominent librarians and library professionals from across the world.
