Merit-cum-Means (MCM) Scholarships are aimed at extending financial support to meritorious students from economically weak backgrounds. Under the MCM Scholarship a maximum of 25% of the enrolled students in the MSc Program (Maths, Physics & Chemistry) are awarded full tuition fee waiver for their current academic year along with a stipend of ₹1,000 per month for ten months. Students whose annual parental income is not more than ₹4,50,000 and having a minimum CPI of 6.5 during the preceding academic year are eligible to apply. The MCM scholarship expires at the end of academic year and is renewed on a yearly basis provided student fulfils all the terms and conditions for the renewal of the scholarship. The Institute also facilitates free basic messing and a nominal pocket allowance for SC/ST category students whose annual parental income is not more than ₹ 4,50,000.
