IITGN became the first IIT to offer a Master's degree program in Cognitive and Brain Sciences in 2013. The centre’s research activities currently are in the domain of:

Experience, Agency and Privacy
Learning and Decision Making
Consumer Behavior
Attention, Emotion and Embodied Cognition
Affective Computing, Artifical Intelligence and Adaptive Rehabilitation Systems
Sensorimotor control and learning, brain lateralization and movement disorders
The research facilities, which are continuously being upgraded, include:

State-of-the-art motion capture systems
Eye trackers
High density EEG
EMG recording equipment
Virtual reality systems
Behavioral cubicles
TMS (coming soon!)
In order to meet current and future research and teaching requirements, the Centre for Cognitive and Brain Sciences seeks outstanding researchers from all areas of Cognitive and Brain Sciences and allied fields. Interested candidates are encouraged to apply through appropriate discipline at IITGN.
